This body of prints and paintings were created in response to a visit to the Killing Fields in Cambodia in 2010. All the people shown in this collection were prisoners of the Khmer Rouge regime. I had no clear reason for creating this work other than I was obsessively looking at the photographs I had taken of their prisoner pictures, allowing the awful reality that most will have most likely died, I needed to do something with that obsession so I created some prints and paintings. I was amazed that one of the largest colograph prints I had printed was selected for a international print exchange, the print is now in collections all over the world in places such as Australia, Pakistan, and New York. I had not anticipated this work to have an audience but I am pleased that it may prompt people to think about the life of the individual in the print.
